I love Bexar County. This is where I raised my children and this is where I watch my granchildren grow. I love the country charm and enjoyment of the city right in the center of this great big county. Being Sheriff is not just a title for me. I have made it my life's work. Its important to me to get the Sheriff's Department moving in the right direction to better serve the community. I also would like to see leadership change to help the hardworking deputies and department staff that often get overlooked but work the hardest. I have stood by observed and listened to the problems that burden the Sheriff's Department. We must work to send a message of zero tolerance with crime, and that Bexar County does not wish to be a haven for criminal activity. The activities of the Department should function in a manner that brings pride to the individuals that work and live here as well as the communities that depend on them for assistance. This can be done with the right leadership. We may not be able to run the bad guys out of town by sun down but with me as your Sheriff their days will be numbered. Vote Larry Ricketts on Election Day, you will not be disappointed.
