 I am Larry Ricketts. I am running for Sheriff of Bexar County. Since the last election nothing has changed.As a matter of fact things have steadily become worse. Crime has increased and become more violent. Morale and pride within the department is at an all time low. In the last 4 years what projects or improvments have you seen implemented? It is unacceptable for a candidate to run for office/position of Sheriff and simply keep the seat warm. A name and occasional face is not enough.
As your next Sheriff I will focus on being proactive,energetic,hardworking,and productive. I will also keep my word and never privatize the jail. The community of Bexar County and the employees of the Sheriff's department deserve better leadership! Our future depends on it. It is time!!!!!

Back from another meeting.....Its a full time job....and I'm ready.

Being Sheriff does not consist of just carrying the title. It means knowing the issues,being out in the field. It means addressing the needs and fighting for the rights of the deputies, employees and residents of the county, It means not being afraid to get out in the trenches and work side by side. Do not be fooled by imitations,replacements of past leadership or wolves in sheeps clothing. If I can in any way inform, explain,or share, anything about myself, what I know or what I have learned about what needs to be done in the Sheriffs Department. Please contact me. I am always available and vow to continue that practice as your next Sheriff.
